France, 1970 " CENTENARY OF ALEXANDRE DUMAS DEATH ", a RARE Vintage medal in Copper, with splendid silver like patina, This is a limited edition issued by the CFM (Club Français de la Médaille), it is edge numbered (only 100 pieces made), in excellent condition as scanned, very little wear, knocks on rim, edge dated 1974 and marked "CUIVRE" with horn (Paris mint), signed Bianchi.

Rev. D'Artagnan and the three musketeers, Athos, Porthos and Aramis, they are seemingly skewing a roast recalling that Alexandre Dumas was also a master in gastronomy.

ABOUT THE ARTIST Françoise BIANCHI (1927-1978), French medallist, studied at École des Beaux-Arts in Lyon then at École des Arts Appliqués in Paris then at École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, pupil of Niclausse et Soupiqué. Pratique de la taille directe de la pierre. Médaille de Vermeil for sculpture at the International Woman weeks in 1967.
