This is a wonderful faience plate made in France that commemorates the Muskateers which is now a shooting club or militia still in existance today. This plate is from the Neuchatel in Switzerland. The plate has wonderful armorial images in brown and black. The marks on the back do not really indicate if this plate was made in France or Switzerland. I was unable to find anything on the marks. They read, "C. Coppier Faiencerie de Cargoge (I think)". A Google search of "faiencerie de cargoge" brings up information on Quimper faienceries. There is also an impressed mark that, besides numbers, I can't quite make out. The face of the image also has a signature that has a name of a chateau and the year, "1910".
